Three Little Ducks Went Out One Day...

I ran a little challenge this month amongst the gals. They were asked to draw any inspiration they wanted from this picture...

This little card was too cute not to share. Thanks Susan G for your contribution!

Susan used the cupcake builder punch to make the rain and clouds. The sun is made with the 1 3/8 circle punch and the wee duckies are from a retired stamp set called Every Little Bit.
Simple and sweet don't you think?

Just Add Ink 207

Here's a sketch challenge for you from Just Add Ink this week. I can't quite believe when I sat down in my new but messy garage (someday this will be my studio) everything came together pretty quickly - in the space of the newborn's nap! Hope you have some fun with this sketch too.

Quick Birthday Bag Tag

When you've only recently moved house, run out of wrapping paper and can only rummage up a garish green bag... you look up ways to tone it down a little. But what on Earth goes with lime green? I used three shades of blue (analogous colour to green on the colour wheel) to get me going on this simple gift tag for my nephew's birthday.

Great to be at my stamping desk again amidst the masses of stuff piled in the garage.

Check out the Starburst Sayings stamp and framelits bundle here. I'm loving it!

Just Add Ink 205

Sunbursts are so in right now. Time to add one to your next project and enter it at Just Add Ink!

Every parent has photos like these right? I've been waiting to scrap this little beauty for a long time (this baby Penny of mine is now three). The sunburst was the perfect thing to draw all the attention to her and make the page fun and light.

I created a stencil out of a spare 12x12 sheet by drawing a circle, dividing it with eight lines to look like a pizza (16 segments) and then cutting out every second segment. Overlay it on white and spritz on your colour.

Crafting tip: Like the honeycomb pattern? Lightly rub your ink pad on the raised side of an embossing folder and 'stamp' it straight on your paper.
